Dieses Album entstand während meines letzten US-Aufenthalts, um zum einen ein Praktikum im Wolf Park zu absolvieren, und zum anderen die Deutsche Wolfsgemeinschaft bei der Frontiers of Wolf Recovery Konferenz am 1.-4. Oktober 2005 zu vertreten und dort u.a. einen Vortrag über Wölfe in Deutschland zu halten. Während meines Aufenthalts habe ich ab und an Bilder von meinen Eindrücken in dieses Album gestellt.

I took these pictures on my way through the US doing a practicum at Wolf Park and to represent the German Wolf Association at the Frontiers of Wolf Recovery symposium in early October 2005. During my stay, I uploaded some photos into this album once in a while.

Die Bilder dieser Galerie wurden im März und April 2001 in den USA, genauer im Wolf Park, dem International Wolf Center und der Wolfwood Ranch aufgenommen. Alle Bilder sind mit einer hochwertigen Digitalkamera geschossen worden (Olympus C-2100 Ultra Zoom) und können dank der neuen Digitalbelichtungsmethoden in einer guten Qualität belichtet werden.

The pictures of this gallery were taken in March and April 2001 at various locations in the USA: at Wolf Park, the International Wolf Center and at Wolfwood Ranch. All pictures were taken using a high quality digital camera (Olympus C-2100uz) and are available as digitally developed photographic prints, but due to the high postage fees, only inside Germany at the moment.

In dieser Galerie finden Sie Bilder von Wölfen, die allesamt in verschiedenen Parks und Institutionen in den USA leben. Der Großteil der Bilder wurde im Wolf Park aufgenommen, einige wenige im International Wolf center und einige auf der Wolfwood Ranch, einer Wolfsrettungseinrichtung in Wyoming, Minnesota. Die Bilder wurden mit einer Digitalkamera aufgenommen, die damals "state of the art" war (Olympus C-1400XL), aber nicht die nötige Auflösung hatte, um qualitativ hochwertige Prints in größeren Formaten zu erstellen.

In this gallery, you'll find pictures of wolves that are residing in different parks and institutions in the USA. The majority of the pictures was taken at Wolf Park, some at the International Wolf center and the rest at Wolfwood Ranch, a wolf rescue facility near Wyoming, MN. The pictures were taken using a digital camera which was "state of the art" at this time (Olympus C-1400XL), but did not produce the resolution which would be necessary to produce high quality prints in bigger formats.

Diese Kunstwerke sind von den jungen Besuchern unseres Infostands beim Husky-Camp in Losheim am See (März 2002) gezeichnet worden. Die Bilder basieren jeweils auf der wunderhübschen Vorlage eines rennenden Wolfes, der von Philipp Peteranderl für diesen Zweck gezeichnet und uns zur Verfügung gestellt wurde. Vielen lieben Dank an ihn und alle kleinen Künstler!
